Mixed feelings.
Like most artists, I struggle to reconcile the objective value of generative AI with the many ways it has disrupted and commoditized our work. I used it here, to help realize a concept I’ve had for years.
The Seed
Alto Terrestre, or “High Earth,” is the only personal project of mine to use generative AI (although there was plenty of photography and editing involved). I simply never had the time to build it completely from scratch, at least not to the extent I imagined.
The Concept
A designer label that ignores the human aspect. Clothes and accessories more interested in materials than models. Fashion unhampered by feasibility, wardrobes only wearable in theory. It is a celebration of nature, made with artificial compromise.
